Milovic: Someone wants to overturn the will of the Serbian people, strange things are happening during the vote counting
Vice President of the Serb List, Dragisa Milovic, stated today that the victory of the Serb List was magnificent despite the campaign waged against the party. He called on the European Union’s observer mission to, as he put it, protect the democratic will of the citizens from the strange occurrences happening during the vote-counting process.
In a statement for Kosovo Online, Milovic emphasized that, despite attacks, the Serb List, together with the Serbian people, had achieved a resounding victory.
"It is well known that the Serb List conducted a clean campaign, while everyone else, from Albin Kurti to his favorites, attacked us, resorted to lies, fraud, and deception, and targeted our party. Despite these impossible conditions, the Serb List secured a magnificent victory. This is a victory of the Serbian people, who have clearly shown that they refuse to accept the occupation they are facing today," Milovic said.
He points out that many suspicious things are happening during the vote count and expresses concern that someone is trying to manipulate the will of the Serbian people.
"During the vote-counting process, we see that, at the very least, strange things are happening. This raises serious doubts among all of us in the Serb List that someone wants to alter the will of Serbian citizens. More than 2,500 Serbian votes have not been entered into the system, which suggests that someone is trying to push their favorites into parliament. The Serb List had precise data from all Serbian communities, and based on that data, there is no doubt that we won all ten mandates," Milovic stated.
He called on the election observers to ensure democracy is upheld.
"We urge the European observer mission to increase its engagement in protecting democracy from tyranny because if we do not safeguard every vote, the legitimacy of this election process will be seriously questioned," Milovic concluded.
