Serb List: ECAP upheld our appeal, conditions have been created for us to participate in the elections
The Serb List stated that the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) upheld their appeal against the decision of the Central Election Commission not to approve their participation in the parliamentary elections scheduled for December 28.
"We inform the public that we have been officially notified that the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel has upheld our appeal filed against the illegal decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), by which the regime in Pristina attempted to ban our participation in the elections and the right of the Serbian people to choose their own representatives," the Serb List said.
They stated that the Panel issued a decision that amended the CEC decision, accepted the recommendation of the Office for Verification within the Central Election Commission, and confirmed the certification of the Serb List for participation in the early parliamentary elections on December 28.
"With this decision, all necessary conditions have been created for our participation in the electoral process, in accordance with the applicable legal regulations and democratic principles. This is another small but significant victory for the Serbian people," the Serb List concluded.
A few days ago, the Central Election Commission decided not to certify the Serb List for participation in the elections on December 28, after only two CEC members voted in favor of confirming their participation, while two were against and five abstained.
The Serb List then filed an appeal with the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel.
