Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Blazic was attacked because he is a Serb; the presence of policemen from the south encourages extremists

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia announced on the occasion of tonight's stoning of a vehicle driven by Sasa Blazic in Suvi Do that the fact that he was driving a car with Kragujevac license plates unequivocally indicates that he was attacked because he is a Serb.

"A vehicle driven by Sasa Blazic was stoned tonight in the multi-ethnic settlement of Suvi Do. Fortunately, he was not injured, and the car was damaged. He was driving a car with the license plate of Kragujevac, which unequivocally indicates that he was attacked because he is a Serb," the announcement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija reads.

It is also pointed out that since the beginning of the year, an increased number of incidents against Serbs living in multi-ethnic areas in Kosovo and Metohija, especially in Suvi Do, has been observed.

"This clearly indicates that the Kosovo policemen from the south, who are illegally deployed in the multi-ethnic areas in the north of Kosovo, are not there to defend the Albanians, but to enable an unhindered attack on the Serbs. Just a few days ago, a boy, Lazar M, was beaten in Suvi Do and yesterday an unknown Albanian fired several shots into the air. This shows that the only targets and victims are Serbs and that the presence of members of the Kosovo Police has a stimulating and encouraging effect on Albanian extremists," the statement said.
