The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, said last night in Skopje that he hoped the region would overcome challenges through joint initiatives that would "open new horizons" on the way to the European Union, Danas reports.
At the ceremonial academy in Skopje on the occasion of St. Sava's Day, the national holiday of the Serbian community in North Macedonia, Kovacevski said that such horizons were being opened through the "Open Balkan" initiative, which represented an open-door policy.
"Our doors, the doors of North Macedonia, will always be open to all friendly nations, and one of those nations is our brotherly Serbian nation," Kovacevski said.
According to him, the common future in the Balkans "depends on all of us".
"No matter how different we are, we have one goal that we all strive for – a prosperous, open, and modern Balkan, free from prejudice, hatred, and hostility," Kovacevski pointed out.
