Ambassadors Djuric and Dugolli at the EU reception in Washington
The Ambassador of Serbia and Kosovo to the US Marko Djuric and Ilir Dugolli together attended the reception organized by the EU Ambassador in Washington Stavros Lambrinidis for diplomats from the Western Balkans on the occasion of the visit to America of the Director of the European Service for Foreign Affairs, Angelina Eichhorst.
"I am pleased to host at the EU Residence my fellow Western Balkan ambassadors from Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Kosovo for an excellent discussion with the director of the European External Action Service, Angelina Eichhorst, who is visiting Washington," Lambrinidis wrote on his Twitter account.
Djuric has meetings almost every day with high-ranking US officials, but also with colleagues from EU member states, as well as other countries.
Kosovo political analyst Agon Maliqi recently stated that the Serbian ambassador to the US, Marko Djuric, had become "the most powerful and influential Balkan ambassador".
In a statement to the Kosovo media, Maliqi criticized Kosovo's relationship with Joe Biden's administration and the work of the Kosovo embassy in the US, stressing that the Serbian ambassador had become the most powerful and influential Balkan ambassador in America.
