Antonijevic: There will be consequences for Pristina if they refuse to implement the CSM

Lawyer Milan Antonijevic said today that there would be consequences for Pristina if they refused to implement everything that had been signed in the Brussels Agreement, primarily the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Dnevnik reports.

Antonijevic says that the CSM is a statute that guarantees rights and protects security, from health to other social issues, cultural heritage, and the Serbian Orthodox Church, and adds that these are all issues that must be on the table at the upcoming meeting in Ohrid.

"Escobar confirms everything that was the clear position of the US, and that is the part that concerns the CSM and the further course of negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo and the necessity of solving all issues in a shorter period of time, because no one living in Kosovo today deserves to be subjected to a such prolonged crisis; that you don't have a certain future; that economic opportunities are being missed. This is what Washington is clearly saying to Belgrade and Pristina, much more to Pristina because of some of the obligations they face," he pointed out for Tanjug.

Speaking about the statement by the Minister of Economy, Rade Basta, that the ministers in the Government should make a statement about the introduction of sanctions against Russia, Antonijevic says that this is only one possibility for someone within the Government to speak about the measures that must be taken.

"If the war in Ukraine is looked at objectively and if it is understood that the people have been bombed and under various attacks for more than a year, Serbia must have a clear position on this," Antonijevic said.
