Baraliu: Stalemate in dialogue benefits everyone, both Belgrade and Pristina, and the EU
Political analyst Mazllum Baraliu says for Kosovo Online that he does not expect any progress regarding the dialogue in the coming months, stating that there is no readiness or serious engagement on this issue from the European Union, Pristina, or Belgrade.
Baraliu claims that the dialogue has come to a halt, and there are no indications that it will resume in the coming months because, as he emphasizes, Belgrade and Pristina do not agree on the draft of the CSM.
"Unfortunately, nothing practical can be expected from the dialogue. Regardless of the elections in Serbia, the dialogue will come to a halt, as it actually has, because Belgrade does not want progress or recognition of these, in the spirit of implementation and realization of these two agreements, nor does it want the Association in the constructions proposed by Brussels and Washington. Kosovo also does not want that," Baraliu emphasized.
He claims that the European Union is powerless.
"It is powerless in its internal policy to see and restructure and align its policy because you see Orban and some other things regarding Ukraine and foreign policy in general. So, I do not see any progress, neither now nor in the coming months next year, because there are elections in Europe and America, so unfortunately, there is neither readiness nor serious engagement, neither from the European Union nor from Kosovo nor from Serbia in that direction," Baraliu concluded.
