Beqa: In Kurti's Government, nepotism is evident; crime and corruption on the rise
Deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Hajdar Beqa said that in the Government of Albin Kurti, family employment was evident in all institutions, Ekonomia online portal reported.
Beqa adds that the ruling party also changes laws only to have a legal basis for its actions and warns that instead of reforms in the judiciary, there is only an increase in crime and corruption, while the salaries of prosecutors and judges have been cut in half.
"We can say that in the Government of Albin Kurti, family employment is evident in every institution. Unfortunately, this is a bad practice because they are starting to change laws just to have a legal basis for their actions. We saw that they dismissed the members of the independent council. Although Kosovo praises how the fight against crime and corruption is the most important, in practice, we have an increase in these occurrences at a time when we are talking about reforms and the judiciary. The government has halved the salaries of prosecutors and judges, and doctors and workers are increasingly leaving. With these decisions, the government is destroying justice", Beqa stated.
