Berisha: Sveçla flaunts the arrest of a Serb, while his colleagues have said much worse about the KLA

A member of the Presidency of the Nisma party, Zafir Berisha, stated that acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla is a "seasonal patriot," and said he is "showing off" for arresting Igor Popovic over his harsh remarks against the KLA, while pointing out that Sveçla’s party colleagues have spoken far worse about the KLA than Popovic ever did.

In a Facebook post, Berisha wrote that Sveçla is known as a seasonal patriot, but also as a deserter, adding that by arresting Popović he continues to "manipulate the illiterate within his political sect." 

“Sveçla is proud as a rooster for arresting a Serb who used strong language against the KLA in a speech in Orahovac. Xhelal Sveçla is a deserter — I don't know if he’s aware that his own colleagues, such as Donika Schwarz, Hekuran Murati, Shkëlzen Gashi, and Nazlie Bale, have spoken much worse about the KLA than Popović, yet none of them were stopped. On the contrary, they received positions in government,” Berisha remarked.

He added that for more than 20 years, 24 hours a day, on various platforms and social networks, "with Albin Kurti as prime minister, and funded by Serbia, bile is spewed against the KLA and its exponents, yet deserter Xhelal has not been stopped."

“On the contrary, that propaganda was used for day-to-day political gain,” Berisha concluded.
