Brnabic: Vucic asked for peace and from Kosovan Serbs not to fall for any provocations
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that only peace and stability could bring prosperity to the entire Balkans and that yesterday, at a meeting in Brussels with representatives of Pristina, Serbia showed how committed it was to preserving peace in the region, Radio Television of Vojvodina (RTV) reported.
Answering journalists' questions after the official presentation of the "White Book 2022" of the Council of Foreign Investors at the Palace of Serbia, Brnabic emphasized that Kosovan Serbs only wanted the rule of law, honoring and implementing the reached agreements.
"The only thing we want and the only thing the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija want is the implementation of the existing agreements, nothing more or less than that. After all, when we talk about the rule of law, which is one of the fundamental and supreme EU values, honoring and implementing the reached agreements is precisely that supreme value and indicator of the rule of law. That is exactly what we are looking for," Brnabic stated.
She said they talked in the Presidency with the representatives of Kosovan Serbs until late last night.
"President Vucic held the meeting and once again asked for peace, that the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija should not fall for any provocations, and that it was important to show how much we cared about stability. Stability and peace are the only things that can enable prosperity in the Western Balkans and the Balkans in general. So far, we have succeeded in that," the Prime Minister emphasized.
She thanked President Vucic for the way he presented our politics yesterday in Brussels.
"He showed that we are broad in our understanding of compromise and how much we care about continuing the dialogue, in order to discourage all attempts of destabilization in the region," Brnabic underlined.
