The Competition Authority has fined MTS (Telekom Srbija) with over 1.5 million euros

The Kosovo Competition Authority announced that, based on the Competition Protection Law, it had decided to fine the company MTS with a monetary penalty of 1,563,959.26 euros, Kosova Press reported.

"The Kosovo Competition Authority announces that the company MTS doo has violated the provisions of the Competition Protection Law by not submitting a mandatory concentration notification for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of companies: VGN NET doo, LIKA. doo, PP. PRKDS-IMPULS on behalf of IR-BI and Herc International", the statement reads.

The conclusion of the announcement emphasizes that the Kosovo competition protection body, as a public institution independent in carrying out its legally defined duties, "will be at the service of all citizens in defending competition law".
