Dacic: Stoltenberg understands the situation and problems in Kosovo and Metohija

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, assessed today that the meeting between the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, had been correct and added that the Norwegian politician was a man who understood the situation in Kosovo, RTV reports.

According to Dacic, Stoltenberg established a very correct, human, and direct relationship with President Vucic.

"The conversation was correct, in the sense of calling for KFOR to carry out the tasks it has. This is of key importance for the further development of the situation so that it is not questionable whether Serbia wants to de-escalate," Dacic told Pink Television.

The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that it was not Serbia's responsibility for the de-escalation, because Serbia had not done anything to complicate the situation.

Dacic also reminded that Jens Stoltenberg's father had been on duty here for many years and that he had also been awarded the title of honorary citizen of Belgrade.

Commenting on the withdrawal of 25 percent of police officers from the north of Kosovo, Dacic believes that it is a trick by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

"The Brussels Agreement defined that the police in the north of Kosovo were made up of the Serbs and that there were no Albanian police there. What 25 percent? None of them should be there. Now the Brussels and all other agreements are grossly violated, and our people are terrorized and the Serbs are arrested every day, often without evidence," Dacic said.
