Detention extended for another two months for suspects in the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal

The Basic Court in Pristina has extended the detention for another two months for two suspects accused of attacking the Ibar-Lepenac canal, confirmed court spokesperson Mirlinda Gashi, according to Reporteri.

Gashi highlighted that the special prosecutor sent the request for the extension of detention on December 23.

"After the request from the Special Prosecutor's Office on December 23, for the extension of the detention measure against the accused J.V. and D.V., the Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department made a decision on December 27 to extend the detention for another two months," stated the announcement from the Basic Court in Pristina.

A powerful explosion occurred in the village of Varage in Zubin Potok on November 29, which damaged the Ibar-Lepenac canal.
