Dobrilovic: Christians are oppressed in Kosovo, the international community must react

Nowhere in Europe are Christians oppressed as they are currently in Kosovo, Konstantin Dobrilovic, candidate for the European Parliament from the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO) said, condemning the attack on priests and pilgrims in Prizren and the recent burning of property belonging to a Serb returnee in Klina.

"It is unacceptable that in the 21st century in Europe, church dignitaries and pilgrims are attacked, and flags of terrorist organizations are hung on the bus of pilgrims who have come to worship their sanctuaries, just as it is unacceptable to drive the Serbs from Kosovo by burning their property," Dobrilovic told Kosovo Online.

He emphasized that it was time for the international community to no longer turn a blind eye to such incidents.

"Nowhere in Europe are Christians oppressed as they are in Kosovo, and returnees are forced to leave their homes," Dobrilovic stressed.

He also noted that the recent incidents clearly demonstrated the extent to which hatred towards the Serbs was being fueled in Kosovo, which the international community tolerated.

"Europeans often talk about human rights, minority rights, and all other rights, but when it comes to the Serbs, this obviously does not apply. Tolerating the open expulsion of the Serbs from Kosovo is the best proof of this," Dobrilovic said, calling on the EU, Austria, and the international community to no longer turn a blind eye to the terror of the authorities in Pristina.
