Durmishi: Asphalt paving of the new bridge over the Ibar has begun

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure in a caretaker capacity, Hysen Durmishi, announced that today the asphalt paving has begun on the new bridge connecting the northern and southern sides of the Ibar River, as well as on the access roads on both sides.

In a Facebook post, Durmishi emphasized that the paving is taking place only 54 days after the start of construction works.

“Only 54 days since we started. Today, asphalt is being laid on the bridge and on the roads connecting the bridge with the southern and northern sides of the Ibar,” Durmishi stated.

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure in a caretaker capacity previously said that the new bridge being built over the Ibar River, which would connect North and South Mitrovica, would be ready for both traffic and pedestrians in September.
