Father of the wounded Milos Stojanovic: I am afraid for my family, but we have to move on
The father of the wounded Milos Stojanovic from Gotovusa, Zvonimir Stojanovic, said that his son was still visibly shaken and in shock because of everything that had happened and added that he hoped he would soon be home with his family.
Stojanovic told TV Prva that he had visited Milos last night, who was still hospitalized at Medical Center Gracanica.
"He's fine, but he's visibly shaken and in shock about everything that's happened." All this is difficult for him. We hope that he will recover and return to his family as soon as possible," he said.
Stojanovic thanked the doctors and staff of the Medical Center Gracanica who, he pointed out, had professionally cared for the wounded children.
“It is extremely difficult, we are still in shock. As time passes, it is becoming clearer in our heads what could have happened," Stojanovic explained.
He said that the news of his son's injury had caught him while he had been doing chores in the yard of his house.
"I received a call from the ambulance in Strpce and I was told that something had happened to my son. Those are the longest and worst 10 minutes of my life until I saw my child. When I saw him, it was a little easier, because I saw that his life was not in danger," he said.
Stojanovic points out that, like the other Serbs, he fears for the safety of his family, but that he must continue.
"I didn't expect something like that to happen on Christmas Day. I would like something like this to never happen again, to anyone," he concluded.
