After Prime Minister Albin Kurti's insistence that elections be held in the north of Kosovo, the president of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, asked him to resign.

Haradinaj pointed out on Facebook that Kurti's decisions were "anti-national and anti-state".

"Painful and dangerous; everything, that the prime minister does, is anti-national and anti-state. The association he has already made is not enough for him, but he advocates for the autonomy of the north," Haradinaj said.

He added that Kurti had the last chance to do a good job for Kosovo, and that was to resign.

"Insisting at all costs on holding elections in the north is part of his scenario and there is no need to restore law or democracy in this part of Kosovo. But this scenario will pass neither to Kurti nor his followers! This man has the last chance to do a good job for Kosovo. Submit your resignation!", Haradinaj said.
