Haradinaj on dialogue: Decision on the dinar harms Kosovo, focus should be on the Franco-German plan

Regarding today's round of dialogue in Brussels, whose topic once again was the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo, President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, emphasized that the Kosovar authorities, with the decision to abolish the dinar, are improvising and harming the Kosovar side in the dialogue, instead of focusing on the implementation of the Franco-German plan, which, as he assesses, would open doors to Pristina, both towards the Council of Europe and towards the EU and NATO.

He pointed out that the decisions of the current Government of Kosovo do not bring any improvement to the citizens but only jeopardize relations with allies, as reported by Ekonomia Online.

"This is not something new, unfortunately; these are mostly improvisations by the government, so they are not serious and do not bring real results. You can see that bitterness is growing among our allies precisely because of these government actions," Haradinaj pointed out.

The President of ABK believes that Kosovo should focus on implementing the Franco-German plan, and that the issue of the dinar gives Serbia the opportunity to be the superior party in the dialogue.

"I believe we should focus on the main topic, which is the implementation of the agreement known as the Franco-German plan, of course, along with the obligations undertaken, because if we fulfill these obligations, candidacy for the EU and NATO follows from the Council of Europe. We'll get stuck on the issue of the dinar. This sets us back and opens advantages for Serbia. In reality, Serbia uses the issue of the dinar against Kosovo," Haradinaj said.
