Haxhiu: Kurti's government will not last much longer, it will fall in mid-December

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Bekim Haxhiu has assessed that Albin Kurti's government would not survive much longer and said that its downfall was expected by mid-December, as reported by Reporteri.

"At most, this government's survival will extend to December, but no further," Haxhiu stated for ATV, calling on the government to call for elections.

"I call on them publicly, let's measure the support. Let's go to the citizens. You've broken all the promises for which you gained the citizens' trust. For the first time, the Kosovo budget is being used more for subsidies than for capital investments," Haxhiu remarked.

He also commented on Prime Minister Kurti's statement about the disappearance of the opposition after the elections, stating that the opposition was there to offer an alternative.

"The opposition is here to hold the government accountable and provide an alternative. I like this. The modus operandi of erasing political opponents can't apply as if they erased Polish oil, Polish sugar,... That time has passed," Haxhiu said.

He added that citizens constantly complained about Kurti's government.

"If they have this trust, then why are they afraid to return the mandate to the people? If Kurti and his government have been doing well, the citizens will appreciate it. However, everyone has complaints about this government. There are rumors that part of the money stolen through the energy scandal, via Martin Berishaj, was invested in social media, and Self-Determination used it for pre-election campaigns," Haxhiu stated.
