Hoti criticizes Kurti: It seems that one cannot say "no" to the dialogue about the dinar in Brussels

Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti reacted to announcements that tomorrow in Brussels the topic of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia would be the issue of the dinar, with an ironic remark that it seemed one could not say "no" to dialogue in Brussels after all.

Hoti recalled on Facebook that two weeks ago Kosovo had been the subject of criticism in the United Nations Security Council due to the uncoordinated decision to ban the dinar.

"The criticism didn't only come from China and Russia, but also from allies. During these two weeks, allies insisted on coordination in Pristina just to avoid consequences for the citizens of Kosovo. They didn't ask for anything else," Hoti pointed out.

He added that, despite this, Kosovo officials had been unwilling to reach an agreement on the matter with allies in Pristina.

"But they agreed to discuss this issue with Serbia in Brussels as a part of the dialogue. This doesn't require a comment. It's a consequence of making a decision in the interest of elections... You can say no to dialogue on the dinar in Brussels, but then - you can't really," Hoti observed.
