Hovenier: The US condemns the action of the Kosovo authorities; stop the violence immediately

The United States of America condemned today's action by the Kosovo authorities and demanded an immediate end to the violence.

"The United States of America condemns the ongoing action of the Kosovo authorities to access municipal buildings in the north of Kosovo. Today's violent measures should be immediately halted," US Ambassador to Pristina Jeffrey Hovenier wrote on Twitter.

Members of the Kosovo Police surrounded the buildings of the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Zvecan, and Leposavic before noon today, after which the sirens sounded.
