Kosovo Police deploys tear gas in the yard of St. George's Church in Zvecan

During the operation to enter the municipality building in Zvecan, the Kosovo Police today threw tear gas into the yard of St. George's Church and in front of the Health Center in this town.

The church and the Health Center in Zvecan are located next to each other, and remnants of the discharged tear gas canister can still be found in the church courtyard.

Kosovo Police members, using tear gas and stun grenades, entered the municipality building in Zvecan today.

During the incident, around ten citizens who had gathered to prevent illegal entry into the municipality building were injured. They have been treated at the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica.

Armored vehicles of the Kosovo Police are patrolling the city, and members of KFOR are also present.
