Krasniqi: Kosovo is being emptied; Kurti cannot run away from responsibility
President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, indicates that Kosovo cannot be a country with a perspective as long as inflation is an unbearable burden for families, while the government "has no idea" how to develop the economy, and that Kosovo is being emptied.
Krasniqi wrote on Facebook that continuous efforts for freedom and an independent and sovereign state had stood on the shoulders of citizens.
"What was extremely motivating and at the same time awareness-raising for me during this week was the meeting with elementary school students in Veleza, in Prizren, from whom I realized that their expectations from their homeland are really important," he added.
Krasniqi also said that the demands of young people were correct and that much more than reflection should be done for them.
"Our country cannot run away from the responsibility it has towards them. Unfortunately, under Albin Kurti’s governance, not only are we seeing abstinence in addressing these needs, we are seeing no effort either. Quite the opposite. Citizens, the new generation, as well as those from the independence period, cannot hope for a better future, as long as an ambassador like Martin Berishaj, who turns out to be part of an international scandal, is protected. Kosovo cannot be a country with a perspective as long as the authorities harbor protagonists of mafia affairs," he pointed out.
There cannot be a safe and stable future for a country like Kosovo, Krasniqi added, which has the potential to export energy, while citizens pay the most expensive bills in the region.
"That is not the future that the citizens want, nor the future for which they have sacrificed. The future of Kosovo should be a completely different narrative. We must start living that future now and without delay, together, with love and dedication for our children's Kosovo," Krasniqi wrote.
