Krasniqi: Lajcak's and Escobar's statements confirm the degradation of Kosovo's relations with the US

Memli Krasniqi, the President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), said for RTV 21 that the statements made by Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar confirmed the degradation of Kosovo's relations with the United States, and he also emphasized that the cost of destroying these relations was extremely high and not worth it.

"Every citizen of Kosovo today must ask themselves about the price of losing American support for Kosovo. No action, regardless of its fairness and legality, is worth it, such as the demand to send four mayors to four abandoned buildings. Although it is a legal, fair, and legitimate action, the cost of destroying our relations with strategic partners is extremely high and not worth it," Krasniqi said.

He also mentioned that the day they officially hear the word "sanctions" from the US would be an "ominous day for Kosovo," not just for Albin Kurti.

"But the punishments have already started, they have been announced. There has never been anything more serious than Kosovo's exclusion from the largest military exercise in the Balkans led by the United States," Krasniqi added.

He further stated that there is information about visit cancellations, which he finds concerning, but he is confident that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is aware of all the details and warnings.
