The vice-president of the Democratic Union of Kosovo, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, said that the US had never been more disappointed with Kosovo than after Prime Minister Albin Kurti's refusal to postpone the decision on the license plates, Reporteri reports.

Lushaku-Sadriu, speaking about the meeting of the president of the DUK, Lumir Abdixhiku, with the US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, and other meetings at the US State Department, pointed out that all American officials conveyed disappointing messages.

"We held several meetings at the State Department. At all meetings, we had the impression that the messages regarding Kosovo's positions and the implementation of the decision on re-registration were disappointing," she said.

She added that "it is painful to see that relations with the United States of America have fallen to this level."

"It is sad to be part of the meetings where such disappointments are expressed and it is painful to see that the relationship with the USA has been degraded," Lushaku told.
