Maloku has asked Gervalla: What are you doing while Serbia counts Kosovo derecognitions?

Professor Fadil Maloku says that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gervalla, is seriously insulting the nation's interests and building of Kosovo with her indifference, Indeks online reports.

This is how Maloku reacted to the statement of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that nine countries had withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo.

"Serbia and its head of diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, have been warning us for a long time about a large number of derecognitions it has in its diplomatic drawer, and you are still dealing with the dismissal of the administration. That is meaningless work, and the way you are currently doing it, it has no value nor specific weight," Maloku said.

Maloku asked Gervalla what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been doing regarding the Serbian recognition offensive.

"Serbia and its main diplomacy have been warning for a long time about the reduction of recognitions, which were over 106, but it will now be reduced to 96. If you had accurate information about the acts and facts of the recognition withdrawals, why did you not take any action to reject them or at least get a new recognition? What are all the retinues of experts doing around you with mini bags of expertise?" Maloku asked.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic pointed out last night that, bearing in mind the situation in the world, even 106 countries did not recognize the independence of Kosovo, only 84 unequivocally recognized it, and three countries were not clear on it.

He also published a list of countries that withdrew their recognition in the past period.

"We have nine countries that have withdrawn recognition - Somalia, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Eswatini, Libya, Guinea, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, Maldives. We are waiting for the tenth," Vucic said at the annual press conference.
