The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, announced that members of the special Kosovo Police, ROSU, had shot at around 11:30 a.m. at the illegal checkpoint on the Bistrica Bridge at a vehicle with two Serbs in it, and that Miljan Delevic had been wounded.

"Delevic was hit in the area of the left chest and has a gunshot wound and he was transported urgently to the hospital in Kraljevo. His co-driver Dusan S. escaped unhurt only by sheer luck, while the entire car was riddled," the announcement states.

As Petkovic added, the members of Kurti's ROSU Special Forces had fired at the Serbian vehicle and the Serbs in it with rifles only because they had not wanted to allow the ROSU police to mistreat them without any basis or reason.

"Kurti's ROSU Special Forces have nothing to do in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as at this checkpoint, which was illegally erected, and from which they harass the Serbs who pass by every day. Belgrade has been warning from the beginning of the presence of the ROSU Special Forces in the north that their only goal is to cause incidents and mistreat our people in the province, which was demonstrated today. It is obvious that Kurti does not hesitate to spill Serbian blood and that is the sole purpose of the existence of his squadrons in the north of Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic said.
