Milovic: No to illegitimate, illegal, and undemocratic Kurti's elections

The former president of the municipality of Zvecan, Dragisa Milovic, said today that the Serbs in the north did not want and would not participate in the elections, until Pristina fulfilled its obligations under the Brussels Agreement, and called on the citizens of northern Kosovo to remain calm and persevere in that decision.

Milovic wrote on Instagram that the Serbs who lived in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo would not and did not want to participate in the farce of "democratic elections".

"Dear fellow citizens, the regime of Albin Kurti intends to hold local elections for the mayors of North Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zvecan, and Zubin Potok on Sunday, April 23, in the presence of hundreds of members of the Kosovo Special Police, KFOR, EULEX, in containers and police stations. We, the Serbs who live in these municipalities, do not want and will not participate in the farce of 'democratic elections," Milovic said.

He wrote that Serbs did not want to participate in the elections while their children and fellow citizens were being shot, and their neighbors and brothers were being arrested.

"We don't want to participate in the elections while our municipalities are occupied by special units of the Kosovo Police and private property is being stolen. We don't want to participate in the elections until the obligations that Pristina took, and the international community guaranteed, are put into practice, and they primarily concern the formation of the CSM. That's why respected fellow citizens say NO - to the illegitimate, illegal, and undemocratic elections of Kurti," Milovic said.

He called on all citizens of the north to remain calm and dignified on Sunday and to be united and persistent in that decision.
