After the attack on Serbian young men in Strpce and Klokot, another Serbian child was targeted by Albanian hooligans and extremists, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced, adding that the attack took place in the place where members of the "Kurti's Kosovo Police" are stationed, due to the alleged "endangerment of Albanians" in mixed environments.

"The boy Lazar M. (15) was beaten this morning by four elderly Albanians in the ethnically mixed neighborhood of Suvi Do. He left home on foot this morning, when they were bandying words to him in Albanian from the moving car. The child bowed his head, which was a sign to the Albanian extremists that he did not understand the language and that he was a Serb, so they then stopped the vehicle and beat the boy", according to the statement delivered to the media.

As it is added, the boy, accompanied by his father Zlatko, went to CHC North Mitrovica with visible head injuries, hematomas and scratches, as well as a bruise under the eye, and according to him, the attackers hit him several times in the chest and stomach area.

The office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that the boy underwent a complete diagnosis, after which he was discharged for home treatment, and the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, spoke with the father of the injured boy and provided him with support and offered all the help of the Office.

"After the attack on Serbian young men in Strpce and Klokot, another Serbian child was targeted by Albanian hooligans and extremists. The attack is taking place in the place where members of Kurti's Kosovo Police are stationed, due to the alleged "endangerment of Albanians" in mixed environments. The truth is obvious that their intention is to provide protection to hooligans and extremists, to attack Serbs and Serbian children with impunity," the statement of the Office reads.

It is added that no one should turn their head away from this attack.

"The entire international community must look Lazar in the eyes and explain to him why he was attacked on his doorstep. There must be no room for relativizing the attack here, because Lazar was attacked only and exclusively because he is a Serb," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija points out.
