Office for Kosovo and Metohija: The arrest of Lazovic is a continuation of the terror of Pristina, a day after Kurti trampled on the dialogue
The arrest of Srdjan Lazovic (48) from Leposavic is a continuation of Pristina's policy of terror, which is intensifying again in the days after the dialogue in Brussels, which Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti trampled on, announced the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
Lazovic was arrested for alleged war crimes, even though he was only a young man at the time of the conflict, according to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
They add that everyone has only words of praise for Lazovic in Leposavic, where he lives with his family and three children, and that he never had anything to hide.
"His arrest just one day after Kurti refused dialogue, and two and a half decades after the conflict clearly indicates the true and only political motives for Lazovic's arrest, which is for Pristina to create a new crisis and escalation and to continue expelling Serbs from northern Kosovo because Pristina is not interested in any normalization of relations, but in blatant terror and repression against the Serbs," the announcement states.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija immediately provided free legal aid to the arrested Serb and will contact all international missions regarding his case and politically motivated arrest.
"Let it be clear to everyone in the international community that Kurti is the one who is generating new crises and tensions in the area of Kosovo and Metohija and that in just a few days, before and after the dialogue, he made several moves that directly lead to an additional escalation of the situation on the ground", they say from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
