Orlic: The Serbs in Kosovo suffer the most horrific terror; Pristina to form the CSM

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Orlic, pointed out at the Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of the European Union Member States that the Serbs in Kosovo were suffering the most horrific terror, and added that for progress in the dialogue, it was necessary for Pristina to fulfill its obligation and form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

As stated in the announcement of the Serbian Parliament, Orlic had said that Serbia would continue its struggle for stability and peace.

"We expect the support of all our friends and partners. The Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija suffer the most horrific terror. People are arrested there, they are shot at, and children are also mistreated. It is unbelievable what is happening in the heart of Europe in the 21st century. We will continue to advocate for stability and peace, the basic preconditions for ours, and the progress of the region as a whole," Orlic said.

Orlic used the opportunity to congratulate the new candidates for EU membership, stressing that Serbia was ready to share its experiences with them and provide support and any assistance. He reiterated that full membership in the EU remained the strategic goal of the Republic of Serbia.

"You will always hear the same from the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vucic, the Prime Minister of Serbia, and us in the National Assembly, and we confirm these words with commitment and concrete progress," Orlic said, pointing to the successes that Serbia had achieved in all areas that fall under the rule of law, as well as completing the judicial reform.

The hosts of the working breakfast were the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil and the President of the House of Representatives of the Czech Republic Marketa Pekarova Adamova.

In addition to the President of the Serbian Parliament, the President of the House of Representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament Denis Zvizdic, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Danijela Djurovic, the President of the Macedonian Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, the President of the Parliament of Moldova, Igor Grosu, the President of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, as well as the Vice President of the Albanian Parliament,  Agron Gjekmarkaj, attended the working breakfast.

During their presentations, the presidents and representatives of the national parliaments exchanged experiences in the process of European integration, pointed out the efforts undertaken, the progress achieved, and the challenges they faced in fulfilling the criteria for membership, and expressed their willingness to continue mutual support and cooperation in this matter.
