The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, responded to the statement by the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde, that it is regrettable that the Serb List decided not to participate in the voting to remove the mayors of four municipalities in the north, highlighting that the German ambassador's attack on the Serb List attempts to conceal the complete absence of democracy and fair electoral conditions in Kosovo and Metohija.

Petkovic emphasized on the social network "X" that the impossible conditions for the referendum set before the Serbs must be taken into account.

"Mr. Rohde, have you seen the impossible conditions for the referendum that were set before the Serbs, or are you not interested in that? The only regrettable thing is that your attack on the Serb List attempts to conceal every absence of democracy and fair electoral conditions in Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic stated.

He reminds that Rohde also supported Albanian mayors who came into office with merely 3.5 percent of the votes, noting that he never reacted to the pressures faced by the Serbian people in the north.

"You have never spoken about Kurti's pressure on the Serbs, you supported fake mayors in the north, and it is obvious that with such your stance, you support them now. Where have you seen a municipality being led with 3.5 percent of the votes, surely you have not seen that in Germany," Petkovic concluded.

The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde, expressed regret today over the decision of the Serb List not to participate in the voting to recall the mayors in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, stating also his concern regarding this decision.

"It is regrettable that the Serb List will not participate in the voting on April 21. I must say that I am concerned that the Serb List has again decided not to participate in the voting. Here is a clear case where pressure is again being applied to citizens in the north not to participate in democratic processes," Rohde stated in a written response to Kosovo online.
