Petkovic: Kurti openly threatened Serbs with violence on Vidovdan
Albin Kurti openly threatened the Serbs in Kosovo with violence on Vidovdan, attempting to use absurd and unfounded accusations against Belgrade and the Serbian people to create an alibi for his own repressive plans that he intends to carry out tomorrow, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic said.
"For Kurti, Gazimestan has always been a hunting ground for the oppression and harassment of Serbs, for unfounded arrests of our compatriots, and now he is openly announcing violence in advance, violence for which he is the sole creator and mastermind in Kosovo and Metohija. As our people have wisely said for centuries, 'On Vidovdan, everything can be clearly seen,' and so Kurti’s terrorist intentions are clearly seen and recognized, as is the support for the blockers in central Serbia, who, it seems, enjoy more than just verbal backing from Pristina," Petkovic stated.
He added that "this is exactly why both Kurti in Pristina and the blockers in Belgrade are announcing and threatening violence on Vidovdan."
"They share the same goal and endeavor – to destroy and fragment Serbia, to weaken the Serbian people, and that is why they no longer hide that they are coordinated. I am convinced that all honorable Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and in Belgrade will mark Vidovdan with dignity and peace, that they will not fall for Kurti’s provocations or those of the blockers, and that it will be shown that the violent and insidious plans of the Belgrade blockers and the terrorists from Pristina are defeated by decent Serbia!" Petkovic concluded.
