Petkovic: Osmani did not have a good time in Brussels; it was clearly stated that KSF cannot go to the north of Kosovo

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said tonight that it was obvious that Vjosa Osmani "didn't have a good time" in the conversation with NATO representatives in Brussels, where she had been clearly told that KSF could not go to the north of Kosovo.

"Vjosa Osmani obviously did not have a good time in the conversation with the NATO representatives in Brussels, so in an attack of panic and helplessness she again resorted to lies and conspiracy theories, accusing Belgrade of everything and anything, which is why she once again came across as frivolous and ridiculous," Petkovic said in the statement.

He also pointed out that Osmani, guided by the belief that one should lie as blatantly as possible so that the lie could pass as truth, was wrong because she had allowed herself to think that she had been talking to uninformed and gullible people in Brussels, who, however, clearly saw the situation in Kosovo and without dilemmas recognized Pristina as the culprit for destabilization on the ground.

He also said that Pristina's attempt to find an alibi for the attempted ethnic cleansing of the Serbs from Kosovo in the "imagined malignant influence of Belgrade" could no longer pass anywhere.

"Osmani found out about it in an immediate way - by the fact that the Secretary General of NATO taught her a lesson at a press conference, where she was presented as 'Ms. Osmani from Kosovo' and where she was clearly told that the so-called KSF cannot go to the north of the province," Petkovic emphasized.

He reminded that in March 2004, NATO had witnessed the cruelty and unscrupulousness of Greater Albanian chauvinism in Kosovo, and added that he was convinced that no one, not even in Brussels, looked with sympathy on the attempts of Kurti and his ideological associates to provoke a repeat of the March pogrom and a new war in the Western Balkans.

Petkovic also stated that Serbia, based on Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military-Technical Agreement from Kumanovo, consistently cooperated with NATO forces in Kosovo.

"This cooperation takes place in an institutionalized way and good faith, because it is a mutual interest in peace in the southern Serbian province, and for the Serbs to be protected from the cruelty and arbitrariness of Albin Kurti," Petkovic said.

He added that Belgrade would continue to be an honest and reliable partner of the international community in efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the Western Balkans, so that the peoples of this region, in cooperation and common interest, turned a new page of history.

"There will be no place for Kurti, Osmani, or other arsonists on that page," Petkovic concluded.
