The road next to the police station near the Bistrica Bridge is being widened

Near the Bistrica bridge, on the main road that leads from the direction of Leposavic towards North Mitrovica, excavators and trucks are working hard to widen the road, so that, most likely, a checkpoint would be established there, a Kosovo Online journalist reports.

Excavators and trucks widen the road near the bridge, not far from the intersection towards Banjska and the turn to the village of Saljska Bistrica.

A jeep and a truck with concrete blocks are parked on a nearby hill, and there are also police officers on the spot, with two police jeeps.

Traffic is moving normally for now, without stopping, but drivers have to slow down due to the cones placed along the traffic lane.

In December, members of the special units of the Kosovo Police began to check the documents of travelers traveling along this section of the main road, and the Serbs even then feared that a checkpoint would be set up at that very place.
