The Serb List has stated that it strongly condemns the illegal and illegitimate decision made by, as stated, the illegal and illegitimate assembly majority in North Mitrovica to open the main city bridge to motor traffic. They assess that this decision violates the Brussels agreements and directly endangers peace.

"We want to warn that the eventual opening of the bridge will undoubtedly result in incidents in this area, which seems to be the intention of Pristina. The bridge, where more than a thousand ethnically motivated attacks from the south to the north have occurred, is a symbol of the suffering of the Serbian people and the intention of Pristina to expel the remaining Serbs from the only urban environment where they have survived in greater numbers. This illegal and illegitimate decision adopted by quasi-councilors without any legitimacy among citizens will have far-reaching consequences for peace, security, and coexistence in these areas. At the same time, it is a continuation of the occupation of the north by Albin Kurti, who has taken on the role of an occupying gauleiter," the statement said.

The Serb List has called on KFOR, EULEX, and representatives of the international community to urgently prevent the implementation of this decision, give space for open issues to be resolved through dialogue, and thereby preserve peace.

"Preventing such actions by Pristina and Kurti's councilors would be in line with the demands of the international community to stop all actions that undermine the dialogue process," the statement concludes.
