Serb List: We will not participate in the extraordinary elections

The Serb List announced that it would not participate in the extraordinary elections on December 18 for the mayors of North Mitrovica, Zubina Potok, Leposavic and Zvecan.

"Given Pristina's decision to hold extraordinary local elections in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, we would like to inform the public that the Serbian List will not take part in these elections, nor will the citizens who support our party and over 95 percent of them live in these areas", he says in the statement of the Serb List.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani announced last night that after the end of consultations with political parties and the Central Election Commission, she set December 18 as the date of the extraordinary elections for the mayors of North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Zvecan.

She pointed out that she would turn to international partners with a request to monitor the elections and for the greatest possible international participation in that election process and stressed that the security institutions would take all measures so that citizens, regardless of ethnicity, feel protected.
