The financial and material assistance, including electrical equipment, that Serbia has sent to the civilian population of Ukraine over the past three and a half years has exceeded the total amount provided jointly by the other Western Balkan countries, Minister for European Integration of the Government of Serbia, Nemanja Starovic, emphasized today on the occasion of the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
“Serbia, as a responsible and solidaristic country, has continuously provided support to the Ukrainian people. Significant aid in the form of food, medicine, and electrical equipment has been sent, intended for the civilian population. With today’s donation, we continue to make a tangible contribution to the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure,” he stated.
According to the official press release, Starovic attended the formal handover of the humanitarian aid—consisting of energy equipment necessary for the repair of Ukraine’s power grid—together with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret, and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia, Volodymyr Tolkach.
