Serwer: Kurti knows what he wants, but he has to be efficient so he doesn't cause problems he can't solve himself

After meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, representatives of the largest opposition parties in Kosovo accused him of "lack of communication with the US", but American analyst Daniel Serwer in an interview for Kosovo Online said that Kurti had his own ideas about "what he wanted to do".

Kurti held a meeting on Tuesday with the representatives of the three largest opposition parties. Ramush Haradinaj left the meeting, and the leaders of DSK (The Democratic League of Kosovo) and DPK (The Democratic Party of Kosovo) accused the Prime Minister of a lack of communication with allies, especially with the US.

In your opinion, how is the current communication between the USA and Kosovo?

I'm not sure there is a lack of communication. Prime Minister Kurti has his own ideas about what he wants to do.

How do you view the Serbs' withdrawal from northern Kosovo institutions?

I'm not a fan of those who think they can get their way by boycotting legitimate institutions.

Is it now too late for Kurti to accept the US and EU request to extend the license plate deadline by ten months?

I really do not know. Why would it be too late?

Do you think incidents could be possible in northern Kosovo in the coming period?

I predict that there will be troublemakers in the north. If Pristina wants to enforce new license plate requirements, it needs to think carefully about how to do it efficiently and without causing serious problems that it cannot solve by itself.
