The seventh day of the Serb protest in Zvecan
The seventh day of protests in Zvecan is proceeding peacefully, with citizens still gathered on one side of the barbed wire, while KFOR soldiers are on the other.
Despite numerous calls from international representatives to withdraw from the north of Kosovo, the special units of the Kosovo Police are still today in the municipal building, which they violently invaded last Friday.
The situation, as reported by the reporter of Kosovo Online, had not changed compared to the previous day, and the citizens were gathered under the parasol, which now had the role of an umbrella due to the frequent showers and heavy rains that had become frequent in the north of Kosovo these days.
After the service in the church in Zvecan, which is located near the Municipality building where the Special Forces of the Kosovo Police are still stationed, the citizens laid wreaths of the Holy Trinity on the barbed wire in front of the KFOR soldiers, RTS reporter reports.
Employees of the municipal administration and state institutions are still at the protest today, mostly women who have been there every day since May 29 and show that they persist in their demands.
The incursion of the special units of the Kosovo Police was the reason for the mass gathering of the Serbs, which began on Monday when a conflict broke out, in which 52 Serbs and 30 KFOR members were injured.
Dragisa Galjak was the most seriously injured, he was shot by the Special Forces of the Kosovo Police and received two wounds and is now in the Clinical Hospital Center in Belgrade, where he is recovering from his injuries.
