Spahiu: The problem of the closed library in North Mitrovica will be resolved after the election of a new mayor

Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu believes that the issue of the closed "Vuk Karadzic" City Library in North Mitrovica will be resolved once a new mayor is elected in this municipality in the upcoming local elections scheduled for the fall.

The premises housing the library were taken over by the Kosovo Privatization Agency at the end of May, and its doors have been sealed shut.

“There will be no point in discussing this matter in the dialogue, since it falls under the jurisdiction of the mayor, and the new mayor will resolve it immediately after being elected. At that time, the issue of the sports hall and other institutions in northern Kosovo will also be addressed. The local elections are in two or three months, and we hope such problems will no longer arise,” Spahiu told Kosovo Online.
