Spahiu: Trump's victory expected, for Kosovo it makes no difference if Democrats or Republicans are in power
Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu told Kosovo Online that Donald Trump's victory in the US elections was expected, but for Kosovo, it makes no difference whether Republicans or Democrats are in power.
Spahiu believes that propaganda and the media favored Kamala Harris, which made the elections appear "neck and neck," but Donald Trump ultimately won.
For Kosovo, he emphasized, it doesn’t matter who the winner is.
“For Kosovo, both Democrats and Republicans have been the same. What matters for Kosovo are June 10, 1999, under Democrat Bill Clinton, and June 10, 2007, under Republican George Bush—two significant dates when support came once from Democrats and once from Republicans,” Spahiu stated.
He also recalled the Washington Agreement, signed in the White House during Donald Trump’s term, which, he emphasized, brought results for Kosovo.
"The agreement reached in President Trump’s office between Vucic and then-Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti yielded results for Kosovo, and it can be expected that the agreement reached in Brussels between President Vucic and Prime Minister Kurti will finally be implemented," Spahiu said.
