Strong KFOR presence in Zubin Potok and Leposavic around municipal buildings
This morning, there is a strong KFOR presence and numerous members of the special Kosovo police present in front of the municipality building in Zubin Potok, and the same situation is observed in Leposavic, as reported by the Kosovo Online team on the ground.
Barbed wire has been stretched around the municipality building in Leposavic.
KFOR patrols have blocked the street leading to the municipality building in Zubin Potok, preventing vehicular traffic. Access to the municipality is only possible on foot.
The former mayor of Zubin Potok, Srdjan Vulovic, in a conversation with members of the police, requested that the Municipality be freed and said that the Serbs would gather in the coming days.
Mirjana Vucetic, representing the Temporary Municipal Authority of Zubin Potok, stated that the citizens do not want the municipality building to be turned into a barracks.
"We will not allow this to be a barracks. We do not prevent your mayor from being the mayor of Cabar. These are peaceful protests, this is Serbian territory, and you will not be able to expel us," Vucetic declared.
To remind you, schools in northern Kosovo are closed today due to the newly emerged security situation and the significant presence of Kosovo police, which forcefully entered the municipal buildings of Zvecan, Zubin Potok, and Leposavic on Friday.
