USAID Director Samantha Power is visiting Serbia and Kosovo this week

USAID Director Samantha Power will visit Belgrade and Pristina this week, in order to emphasize the continuous and long-term commitment of the USA to Serbia and Kosovo. As stated in the announcement, the visit comes at a time of new momentum for Kosovo and Serbia in the dialogue led by the European Union, with the aim of normalizing relations, which the USA strongly supports.

During his visit to Serbia, Power will meet with government officials, representatives of civil society, the business and IT community, investigative journalists, youth representatives and activists for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.

She will emphasize USAID's support on Serbia's path to joining the European Union through a partnership to encourage economic growth and democratic development.

During her visit to Kosovo, Power will speak with government officials, private sector representatives, young entrepreneurs and innovators, and local activists and farmers to express USAID's strong commitment to helping advance Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration by strengthening democracy, good governance and the rule of law. , by promoting reconciliation and supporting multi-ethnicity, as well as working to catalyze new economic opportunities for citizens.
