Vucevic: Kurti is creating impossible conditions for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic stated today that Albin Kurti was creating impossible conditions for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo, emphasizing that Kurti's agenda was to make it impossible for Serbs to survive in Kosovo.

Vucevic assessed that the situation in Kosovo was very difficult and added that it was a misconception that Kurti had suspended the decision to ban the dinar.

"Kurti even said something that sounded like mockery: I haven't banned the dinar, you just can't buy anything, you can't use it. He is very creative in the terror he is imposing on the Serbs. He is creating impossible conditions for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija," Vucevic emphasized during his appearance on Prva TV.

He stated that Kurti's agenda was to make it impossible for Serbs to survive in Kosovo.

"He devilishly cleverly says that he will address them in the Serbian language and that he will communicate better with them. He explains to us in Serbian that we don't need health centers and that he can arrest us wherever he wants and ban everything that a people can have and expect. Only Serbs are banned from that in the 21st century. In Europe, no one really condemns this, except for some protocol statements," Vucevic said.

The Minister believes Kurti will continue his planned agenda and that a lot of trouble awaits us regarding Kosovo, especially for the Serbian people in Kosovo.

When asked who is trying to steal freedom from Serbia today, about which he spoke yesterday in Orasac during his address at the Statehood Day celebration, Vucevic said that those were the ones who were trying to steal territory from Serbia.

"Those who persuade us that we should amputate a part of ourselves and that we will be better off afterward, because they declared that we should amputate something that is inseparable from us," Vucevic said.

He emphasized that freedom permeates the Serbian people, who have always prioritized freedom.

"Freedom has always been valued more than peace. Perhaps slaves had peace, but they did not have freedom. Freedom characterizes a person, it gives him his essence, as an individual, but also to the state and the nation. Of course, peace is essential and a precondition for us to further cooperate, preserve the state, progress, and increase salaries and pensions. But there is no life without freedom – if you cannot speak your language, write your script, move, go to your church, work, create, or acquire, you cannot say that you can live," Vucevic said.

Commenting on the fact that the President of Serbia received congratulations from the highest officials for Statehood Day, Vucevic said that it confirmed that Serbia was recognized as a country that needed to be taken into account.

"He received congratulations from Biden, Putin, Xi Jinping, and representatives of the EU, all the most important geopolitical players. I think the president still considers the congratulations he received from his citizens to be the most significant," Vucevic said.
