Vucic announced extraordinary parliamentary elections for December 17

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has called for extraordinary parliamentary elections on December 17th this year.

Vucic signed the decision to announce the elections at the Presidential Palace.

The President of Serbia has also issued a decree to dissolve the Assembly.

Vucic wished everyone good luck in the elections, emphasizing that we live in difficult times for the entire world.

"We live in a time of global challenges, wars, and conflicts in which it is essential for us all to be united in preserving Serbia's vital national interests. In a time when we will face numerous pressures, both regarding our position on Kosovo and Metohija, as well as other regional and global issues," Vucic stated.

He pointed out the importance of Serbia maintaining peace, stability, and internal cohesion.

"This campaign is an opportunity to demonstrate to the citizens in a civilized manner the various political policies and programs that will never jeopardize Serbia's vital national interests," Vucic said.

He wished all participants in these elections good results. As he stated, he wishes for all of them to do everything in a democratic and civilized manner, adding that it is important for the citizens that the best ideas prevail.

"I am confident that through these elections, we are strengthening democracy and securing a safe path for our children's future," he concluded.

Previously, the President of the Serbian Parliament, Vladimir Orlic, announced local elections that will also be held on December 17th and will take place in 65 cities and municipalities.
