Vucic: In Brussels, I will raise a question about attacks on returnees and arrests of the Serbs; the meeting will be difficult

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that on September 14, in the continuation of the dialogue in Brussels, he expected a difficult meeting, not so much because of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, but because of EU representatives, who, whatever they said, always supported Kosovo's independence.

After the meeting of leaders within the Brdo-Brijuni Process held in Skopje, Vucic spoke about expectations from the upcoming meeting in Brussels and pointed out that so far no meeting within the dialogue had been easy.

"And that's not because we're talking with Kurti, but with the representatives of Brussels, whom we know that, whatever they say, they will always support the independence of Kosovo, in one way or another. That's why these talks are always difficult for us, but what can we do?" Vucic emphasized.

He announced that on Thursday in Brussels, he would raise the issue of another attack, the third in a row, on the house of the returnee family Janackovic in the municipality of Vucitrn. They will also seek answers about the extension of detention for all Serbs who were arrested and not released, as well as for other incidents against the Serbs in Kosovo.

"All these will be questions on Thursday; I will insist on that, we will see what the answer will be. Do I expect something positive, no, but ours is to try to solve problems by talking. We would not use a 'whip' like Kurti, who shows how strong he is," Vucic said, referring to the message of the Prime Minister of Kosovo that "it is impossible to separate Serbia from Russia without a whip".
