Vucic with Kos: Ready to accelerate reforms, Growth Plan is an opportunity for faster economic development

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met this evening with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Marta Kos, who is on a two-day visit to Serbia.

"A good conversation with European Commissioner Kos about the key challenges and opportunities on our European path, with a special focus on reforms and the implementation of the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans," Vucic wrote on Instagram.

He conveyed that, during the conversation with Kos, he emphasized Serbia’s full readiness to accelerate reforms — not because of bureaucratic requirements, but out of the conviction that reforms bring a better life for citizens.

He stressed that Serbia sees the Growth Plan as an opportunity to accelerate economic development, strengthen institutions, and bring the country closer to the European Union not only politically, but fundamentally, through tangible benefits and standards that citizens can feel.

"I believe that through serious work, responsibility, and a genuine partnership with the European Union, we will seize the current momentum and open a new phase in Serbia’s European integration process," President Vucic stated.
