Vucic: Since Pristina does not intend to implement the CSM - it is trying to bring Serbia into conflict with NATO
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, pointed out today that since Pristina did not intend to implement the CSM, was trying to provoke a war, to bring Serbia into conflict with NATO, to present itself as a victim, like Zelenskyy, and Serbia as an aggressor, someone who threatened someone's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Vucic, citing the chronology of the worsening of the situation in Kosovo, said that despite all the guarantees received from the EU, elections had not been held in Kosovo due to the contrary decision of Albin Kurti that this should not happen.
This, he says, has prevented our people from having a basic right, and all with the desire that these elections will affect the result in Serbia, expecting someone else to be in power, not the one who won.
The Serbs, he says, had a lump in their throat, knowing that their fundamental rights were being violated, and then things got even worse.
He said that in all conversations, indirect or direct, the Pristina side had not been honest enough or open enough.
"Unfortunately, we saw each other as enemies, they saw us more, and we, like hedgehogs, had to turn our spines in order to protect the interests of Serbia and the Serbs, not understanding Pristina's hysterical behavior. After that, we have many attacks on Serbs", he pointed out.
Vucic stated that the first attacks and arrests had begun with the harassment of people transporting medicines and vaccines, confiscation of medicines, and interception of consumer goods.
He pointed out that Pristina had brutally violated the Brussels Agreement and all the annexes, without thinking about what could happen, and had sent special police units to harass people in the north in such a reckless manner, and he cited as an example the boy who had hugged the girl and who had been stripped naked and humiliated.
"The worst monsters couldn't have thought of that. It was boiled among the representatives of our people, especially in the north, where 97 percent are the Serbs. Then they continued to fabricate the problem about ID cards, we solved that problem with a disclaimer. Allowing freedom of movement, I did not have a problem with that because we prevented the introduction of visas for the Serbs. Then they told us in Brussels "don't worry, now we will put pressure on Kurti, he has to give in about the license plates because he is not right about it". The last moment was waited, and Kurti, with someone's support, did not want to give in. And the crisis happened again. In addition, we reached important agreements regarding the recognition of diplomas, faster movement of people, and traffic of goods. And we made three important agreements within the framework of the Berlin process," he said.
Vucic said that it had been in Berlin that Kurti had announced that he would never form the CSM - something that had been signed in 2013.
He pointed out that Serbian police officers had not wanted to implement unconstitutional and illegal decisions, unconstitutional even with what Pristina called the constitution.
Then, he said, they had begun the replacement of the regional police chief, which they had no right to do.
"Then a breakdown in the minds of people who listened to their country, happened, knowing how much we need peace for the development of Serbia, acting in the interest of Serbia. How far Serbia has progressed is shown by the fact that in 2012 we had a GDP worth 32 billion euros, this year the GDP will be 68 billion euros. During all that time, we needed peace and stability, and the Serbs from Kosovo understood that, served and listened to their country," he pointed out.
He said that he had told the local people in Brussels that the Serbs could no longer endure, but that they had not understood that.
"Then the Serbs decided to leave the institutions, asking for only one thing: that the people who were arrested be released and that the CSM be formed. They all left the institutions as one, there are almost no exceptions. Loyal to the country of Serbia, they believe in their country and want to fight for it. A few days later, to show all their strength, they scheduled elections. Although they already promised the representatives of the international community that they would abandon those elections, which were supposed to be held in December on St. Nicholas Day before the decision was made official, even though we knew that the decision follows because we got it through diplomatic channels; they send special forces to occupy the seats of the municipal election commissions for 12.5 hours in order to provoke a conflict and to humiliate the Serbs," he stressed.
Vucic pointed out that their only intention was to provoke war conflicts and to drag Serbia into a war with NATO.
