After the meeting with the Crisis Staff from the barricades, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced that the Serbs accepted to remove the barricades at his suggestion, but that they did not trust Albin Kurti, and in the event of continued arrests and persecution, they woul set up barricades that will no longer be removed.

We had difficult conversations, but we were very honest with each other. As I understand it, this is the conclusion of the Crisis Staff from the barricades. People told me that they did not want to go against their country," Vucic said.

"I begged them, I left them alone to make a decision and then they handed to me what they had drawn up at the barricades. Serbs don't believe in institutions," said Vucic and read the text that the Serb representatives delivered to him.

"We only believe in the state of Serbia and trust you personally, and for that reason we demand a clear word that we have support for what follows. If the terror continues, we will close the north of Kosovo forever to Pristina institutions, we ask for a guarantee that there will never be a Kosovo's independence recognition," the president read and added: "If they start arresting Serbs because of the barricades, whatever you do after that, I will support you," he said.

"Barricades will be removed, but mistrust has not been removed," Vucic concluded.
